I enjoy the violin, writing, and forensic science. I still want to live in a charmingly cluttered flat with ugly vintage wallpaper a dubious shade of brown, with my violin Benedict, my guitars Sherlock and Harry Darren-Criss, and many, many books, as well as enough tea to sustain my mortal soul.
Mainly Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Tintin, and old British comedy, but for a full list go here.
A Slytherin, with Ravenclaw tendencies.
I spam a lot of Vincent van Gogh.

Okay, you've got questions
My Graphics
YES, THANK YOU. This is what I’ve been saying! It irritates me that they’re taking away so much for what? Romance? Gerg.
Yes. If they wanted to make a statement about romance between Holmes and Watson and that’s what they’re going for, they would have done
so
much
better
to keep Watson male.
Not because I will only accept gay, but because for centuries that has been the big question about Holmes and Watson - are they in a gay relationship? I don’t particularly want their wonderfully, indescribable canon relationship to be simplified to love between two people, but if that’s really where they wanted to go there isn’t really any need to genderswap solely for that purpose
And the thing is with Holmes and Watson you don’t need the traditional idea of romance, because they are already bloody fucking, (no pun intended), soulmates in canon. They fight together, work together, live together, stay the closest of friends and companions from their meeting to the rest of what we see of their lives, and despite the fact that one of them gets married they still always keep coming back to each other time after time. There’s an incredible depth of feeling between the two of them that exists between lovers, without them actually being lovers, and that is what is so beautiful and surprisingly pure about their relationship - it has all the hallmarks of love, the very soul and centre of love, without being a romantic relationship. It has the essentials and by keeping the essentials and not the extraneous, it draws attention only to the nature of love - what it feels like, what it manifests as, what it makes us do for other human beings and how it binds us to them. There’s no time given to the physical or to phrases like “I love you” and because of that what remains is only pure bond and feeling.
I feel really strongly about this. Obviously.

I am going to watch at least the first episode but mostly I’m frightened as to what will happen. So much can go wrong, so much.
